The Patriots have always been praised for their exceptional drafts (i.e. landing the likes of Asante Samuel in the 4th round, Tom Brady in the 6th round, and hidden gems like David Givens in the 7th round). Notably, the Patriots ensure their draft picks are football smart and will fit in to the team philosophy.
This year's rookie class is seemingly as smart as the others; they took home the gold in the "Ultimate Rookie Challenge" trivia at the NFL Rookie Symposium. The challenge consisted of 32 review questions from material learned at the 3 day rookie symposium, with questions ranging from NFL benefits package information to personal finance and life skills.
The rookies not only won bragging rights amongst their peers, but they also each walked away with a 32" TV. QB Kevin O'Connell was also awarded an iPod for his personal performance on the exam, finishing 4th overall (out of 252).
