The Boston Globe published an interesting piece which delves into the injuries of CB Ellis Hobbs. The cornerback has been injured for much of his professional career, but has shown a strong tendency to play through many of the injuries. In the article, the Globe notes that Hobbs “initially hurt his shoulder last Nov. 4 against the Colts, [and] acknowledged that he was in a ‘great deal of pain’ for more than half the season, but gutted through the injuries.”

Hobbs has had two off-season surgeries, one to repair his torn labrum, and another to repair a sports hernia. Both surgeries went as planned.

Hobbs, who did not participate in spring minicamps, wouldn't project when he will return to the field or if he'll be ready by the start of training camp in late July. If healthy, he’s expected to be a starting cornerback for the Patriots.
