The Patriots did not use their franchise tag on WR Randy Moss before the 4pm deadline today. This means that either the team thought the price tag was too high, even for one year, or both sides have agreed to a contract. We will find out on February 29th, which marks the official beginning of the 2008 season, the first day the Patriots are allowed to officially re-sign Moss.
