CB Ellis Hobbs had surgery on February 12th to repair a torn labrum which he suffered during the 2007 season. Hobbs has also been dealing with a groin injury, but neither injury was enough to keep him on the sidelines for the Super Bowl.
In case you're curious, the labrum is the cartilage attached to the shoulder socket used to prevent abnormal motion.

Hindsight being 20/20, Hobbs shouldn't have been in there if he was hurt that bad. He played well but he was hurt. They should have rolled the safety to his side.
